 ABOUT

All photographs on this website are taken by Teresa. Except for this one…because that would be weird, right?

Teresa Xie is a reporter at Bloomberg News. Previously, she was on the Music and Culture desks at NPR, where she wrote film and music reviews, as well as worked on her favorite podcast, Louder Than A Riot.

Teresa has written for publications such as Pitchfork, Teen Vogue, Vox, Mic, and The Nation to name a few. She was one of The Nation's Fall Writing Fellows, an adviser for the Wall Street Journal Noted’s Jobs/Career cohort, and an editorial intern at Inc. through ASME’s Magazine Internship program. She was also a News Desk intern at CNBC, a Bassini Writing Apprentice under Rolling Stone contributing editor Anthony DeCurtis, and a 2021 AAJA Voices fellow.

Teresa pivoted to journalism after running The Q, a digital publication she co-founded with one of her friends that aims to give space to underrepresented artists and their works in a saturated media environment. For The Q, Teresa interviewed creators such as writer Min Jin Lee, singer Cautious Clay, rapper MAVI, Wu-Tang Clan’s Killah Priest, and director Isabel Sandoval to name a few.

She graduated with Honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Cinema Studies. She grew up in Chicago, which she considers to be the best city America has to offer.
